Section A7 Chardonnay

De Bortoli Yarra Valley Section A7 Chardonnay draws from Section A7, a single parcel of 1991 plantings on a south-east facing slope, that produces delicately styled fruit.

The grapes are whole bunch crushed and pressed. After settling overnight, the turbid juice is racked to seasoned French oak for natural fermentation. The lees are stirred in late autumn, the wine then left to rest on its lees until late spring.

Pale green, De Bortoli Yarra Valley Section A7 Chardonnay is fine and textured with subtle savoury characters and soft acidity. Cellaring potential is five years.
